and Water Conservation Districts. Level IA - Fundamentals training
takes place locally and is scheduled in
Crawford, Greensboro, Milledgeville, Monroe, and Winder.

Hardigree Ward Memorial Scholarship
The Polly Hardigree Ward Memorial
Scholarship is presented annually to an Oconee County
high school senior pursuing a natural-resources related career, such as in
agriculture, forestry, wildlife management, etc. The scholarship
award for 2006 was $750 and was presented to Kathrine Bell on May 18.
Kathrine plans to major in Forestry and pursue a career in agricultural
education.

Producer Workshop
Join
us Thursday, February 16, 7:00 - 8:45 p.m., Oglethorpe County Farm
Bureau, Crawford for an informative program and networking opportunity to
establish partnerships with fellow producers and resource professionals.
The workshop will focus on current regulations impacting the use of
broiler litter, and provide information about adding value to litter and
developing alternative markets and marketing strategies to increase
profitability.
